Shore Leave -- Two Boats Moored on the Columbia River Banks -- Original Oil Painting
Oil on Canvas 16 x 20 Available
Price on request.
When we think of the word, "picnic," visions of a wicker basket of culinary treats comes to mind, as well as a peaceful, tranquil spot in which to sit with friends and family and enjoy that meal.
Shore Leave, the artwork, invites the viewer to just such a picnic. Two boats, moored to the rocky shore, give evidence that some people are here -- not too many, because the boats are not too big -- and we are asked to join them. It is a quiet, tranquil spot, and just out of sight of the boats is a landscape of peaceful beauty, where we can sit on our colorful picnic cloth and enjoy the view.
