Tourists exclaim when they visit Washington D.C. and see its many Grecian and Roman inspired buildings. But there's nothing to compare to the natural structures at the Canyon at Capitol Reef, so named because the imposing and majestic cliffs resemble the man-made structures of a city.

But how different they are! Free from asphalt roads and traffic, the cliffs at the canyon stand still and silent, patient and imposing -- imparting a sense of grandeur and greatness that no human structure, no matter how amazing, can inspire.

Enter into this world of beauty and quietness -- enter into the artwork, Canyon at Capitol Reef.

(A companion piece to Canyon at Capitol Reef is Autumn on the Fremont, also on this site.)

In addition to the original oil painting on panel, Canyon at Capitol Reef is also available as a print at Steve Henderson Collections, the sister site to this one that focuses on prints and gifts. See the options, which also include the image printed on gift/household items ranging from coffee cups to yoga mats, at the link, Canyon at Capitol Reef at Steve Henderson Collections.
