Hand in Hand, Walking in the Sand

"And hand in hand, at the edge of the sand, they danced by the light of the moon" -- so ends Edward Lear's fanciful tale of the owl and his feline companion, an unusual pair if ever there were one. Relationships are complicated things, and when we find that special person who fills in the space we hold for them in our hearts, we feel complete.

The couple in the artwork, Hand in Hand embody the quiet sense of romance of two people who love one another very much, and find time together -- whether they are talking, dancing, or simply being silent -- the best time of all.
