Indian Hill -- Original Oil Painting -- Rural Country Landscape with Wildflowers
Oil on Canvas 20 x 24 Sold
Hiking used to be a simple endeavor -- you put on some shoes, packed some water and food, and set out walking. Obviously, for long, serious hikes more needs to be done, but an afternoon hike in the country does not have to be a complicated affair.
Indian Hill is the name that the locals call it -- so named because the Indians were said to have raced their horses down the steep incline. But regardless of the name and legend behind it, Indian Hill is an area of quiet beauty, and in late summer and autumn the colors of the landscape glow in the late afternoon sun.
Many people don't realize the beautiful landscapes that are either in their backyard, or so close that a quick drive can take them there, and when they go hiking, they think, "national parks," or, "Pacific Crest Trail," or some other such well known and organized affair. And while these areas are beautiful, because they are so well known as well, they tend to be more crowded. To find the peace and silence of solitude, one often looks in the places others overlook. Such is Indian Hill.
The original oil painting, Indian Hill, is sold.
The artwork is available at this link as a print in various formats (framed, canvas, acrylic, metal, wood, poster) as well as an image on everyday products and home decor items (coffee mugs, phone cases, shower curtains, throw pillows, apparel, shower curtains, greeting cards, and more) at Steve Henderson Collections
